'Battle of ideologies'

"A person's physical self can be killed, but... his ideology stays on forever.."said the speaker, punching his fist in the air authoritatively, focusing on the impact of the statement. Loud claps and a huge roar followed the pause and the speaker nodded, waiting patiently for his audience to imbibe the feel behind every word of this powerful statement. And yes, it did make the desired impact.
I was instantly drawn towards the implications of this beautifully constructed sentence that easily establishes the superiority of an ideological self over its materialistic counterpart. As surreal as it sounds, does its impact resonate with the same ferocity in a person's life?

I always wondered about the strength and courage required to carry the responsibility of a revolution for decades in search of change. The tired shoulders sometimes, give in to the relentless attacks, paving the way for a new rejuvenated self to carry the mantle inorder to keep the fire burning. Selflessness and dauntlessness are the two constant companions who shall never, in the wildest of dreams, break his trust.

As observed in various contexts, time and change are the main nemesis when the longetivity of a revolution is considered.
Sachin Tendulkar in one of his interviews with Vikram Sathaye, skillfully emphasizes on the importance of a common objective being the binding factor to provide clarity and relatability to a certain cause. He is also quick to comment on the discussions and disagreements that sway the motive in either directions, ultimately, the 'objective' acting as that pole star that manages to steer back to the point in focus.

Ideology is a strong ligament that binds like minded people allowing them to converge on a platform to follow what they believe is right. Well, does this binder stay strong to extend it's existence beyond mortality? This is subjective.

Change is the only constant in this universe. The belief system and core strength are the two important factors that can help sail the ship of revolution for long through the arduous journey of constant resistance and revolts. Ideology, though has an evident stand of itself in every person's life, it is the impact a person can make on the society during his lifetime that stands apart from all the metaphorical and ideological triumphs. The happiness one derives by being a part of a minute positive change in someone's life is unparalleled. Though, it can be argued that a movement helps many while an individual has his limitations, change always starts from a single thought. It is the intent to be a part of that change that sets great people apart from the rest.
And in the case of ideology, there is no clearer truth than 'Conscience' and purer ideology than 'Humanity'.
